Bay Point Women's Club
The BPWC started over 25 years ago. The club was started to encourage community spirit and assist in every way possible to enhance life at Bay Point. Today that is still one of the main goals of the club as well as helping the community of Bay County.
The BPWC offers many different activities for meeting new people. The BPWC meets once a month, usually the second Tuesday of each month for a luncheon and program. The programs range from informative to some of the elementary schools performing. Aside from our monthly meetings the club offers a day and evening book club, garden club, bridge groups, gourment clubs and activities for the children. There are also many other activities throughout the year. The BPWC fund raiser is held in November. We will also have our bridge-game benefit this year. It is a great way to gather with your friends and spend a day playing cards and enjoying lunch. Last year our charity Auction was a huge success. The money was distributed to local charities throughout Bay County. One of the recipients of the money this pst year was Habitat for Humanity. We are also proud to say we are not only sponsoring a home but the BPWC will also be building the home for a family here in Bay County this year. The BPWC also awards two scholarships to a child or grandchild of a BPWC member.
